The original account said a “third person” opened the door for police. That was probably true but it didn’t fit the narrative, because no one wanted to reveal who the third person was. So they had to change the story to say that Pelosi opened the door. Then they had one little problem which is that Pelosi was attacked a significant distance from the door, maybe 10 feet, and there is likely evidence e.g. his blood and of course bodycam footage to prove that’s where the attack occurred. So the NBC story has him stepping “several feet” back into the house to cover up the fact that he didn’t actually open the door. However, then it looks like he wasn’t in distress, so they have to pull that story and just say “nothing to see here, move along”.
Your post is exactly why people want to see the bodycam footage, and exactly why we won’t.
