Susan Daggett, an attorney and wife of Colorado Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet, said in a video obtained by Just the News that there is a way to "quietly" defund police by reallocating funds and she hopes President Biden doesn't run for reelection in 2024. Daggett also addressed the "defund the police" movement, saying the term "defund the police" really means "reallocating" funds for mental health and social services as well as overall police reform.
"Michael would say calling it 'defund the police' is not the smartest move at the outset," she said.
Whether police reform can happen depends on the results of the midterm election, she added.
Daggett explained that "the most successful efforts in Washington, D.C. are the ones that you never see on the front page of the paper."
Referring to police reform and reallocating funds to mental health services, Daggett said, "We're talking about it for half a second, and let the temperatures come down, and quietly allocate some funding to mental health, right?"
She concluded that "there are strategic ways to do it that would be just as effective but, you know, not raise the flag."

I guess this chick was not around when gummints started “defunding” and shutting down mental health facilities in order to “mainstream” sick people by leaving them home. Got started in the 60’s when dims started buying votes with welfare money, food stamps, LBJ rents, and all the rest. They’ve piddled away so much money we can’t now afford cops or hospitals.
I am somewhat ambidextrous but one forearm is more skilled than the other.

The law-enforcers only exist in great numbers because the civilizing social concerns fail their duties.
In my youth, a village of 2,000 inhabitants needed only a constable (actually on the street without arms) to calm down barking dogs and people who couldn't yet control their temper, or youths tipping over outhouses in mischievous behavior, not yet having become truly dependable for responsible citizenship.
If you as a youngster mouthed off to a neighbor correcting your misbehavior, your parent backed that neighbor up, if it was warranted. And likewise with a school teacher or principle as well. It was Dr. Benjamin Spock and his destabilizing of parental firm discipline that effed up this approach in the home and in schools.
If you're going to "defund" today's law enforcers, you'd better start taking some of the responsibility on yourself, with concurring law-abiding neighbors to add emphasis if needed. Stike Spock's progressive "woke" philosophy off the menu of responses to unaccepatble behavior. Nothing can replace corporal discipline that saves the minor from a hellish future.
That approach across the community will do the job. And the talk about tar and feathers better be real, not figurative.
Is that going to happen? Not without a big, income-stripping depression. In those days, there were no credit cards or debit cards. You paid as you went, or else, What we need to do is defund non-paying citizens and their get, that's what. And that environment with a little physical hunger looming will promote honestly-developed ambition to deserve honestly-obtained rewards. IMHO.
Until then, if you want to stay alive and uninjured, We'd better fund and back the lawbreakers exhibiting integrity and freedom from bribery or self-aggrandisment.

I don’t think “Do something, just don’t call it that” is a viable strategy here - when crime spikes as a result you can’t reimagine that away. Unless, of course, your media drones can sell “increased carjacking is a sign of a healthy economy.” Good luck with that.
