As an evangelical Christian, and back when de Blasio (?) was threatening the Hasidic Jews in New York City with arrest if they had services, and in support I subscribed to the JTA (Jewish Telegraphic Agency) and posted some comments in support of the Hasidic Jews.

So we get emails from them periodically and it is always interesting to follow their politics (JTA) which is clearly left leaning almost 100% of the time.

I honestly think that it is in part, a fear of “Catholics” and everything associated with them. There are stories of Jewish children being taunted by Catholics children and being blamed for Jesus Christ's death. Lol. Insane. If you understand Biblical history, you know that this is silly. But apparently this was being taught in some churches.

I remember William Shatner talking about this kind of abuse when he was a boy.

I’m Catholic, and I have never once blamed any Jewish person for the death of Christ. It’s never been taught to me that way, either.

The Jewish people are the predecessors of my faith. If it weren’t for the Jewish people, there would be a lot of my faith that would be wiped out.

Jesus is the new Covenant, but until His death, the old Covenant was intact. I do not disparage it, nor any Jewish folks.
