I see uses for these. Urban combat: these could be useful to get a squad up on a building roof without risking a helicopter, a much bigger and fatter target. These could then fight down the building, not up.
Also to insert FO teams on otherwise inaccessible places, ditto snipers, etc.
Jet packs have been around since... I’m thinking Superbowl I. All of the sudden they’ve found a ‘tactical’ application for them? Somebody been smoking something...
Ya.. they need some Asgard shield tech to make it worthwhile...
