That’s a sign of desperation. However, I think the optimistic/delusional statements are aimed at the Dem base. DCCC officials are no doubt worried about Dem turnout and are trying to assure their base that there is still a chance for Dems.

And Biden AND Harris are campaigning for “safe” powerful democrats like Schumer, the democrat governors of these “safe” states, while even the targeted swing states like FL, AZ, PA, GA, and WI are following behind in the polls.
