I speak, and work with Germans in Germany every day. I don't hear them complaining.
You be well advised not to tie to much of your “conservative” eggs in one basket. Especially the “stable” Italian politics.
The German economy will adjust. I trust their judgment over any Italian leader of the day anytime.
I also take the input of my Italian coworkers who want to become U.S. citizens because their county is such a ClusterF*ck, as where the Germans have no inclination to leave their country for ours.
That's a lot better that some outdated B&W movie version of history.

Yes, the Germans have not lost their arrogance yet. But their economic future is bleak. They will never admit it, but cheerleading cannot save them. They have destroyed their economy over wars and radical environmentalism and destructive immigration.

Even China snubbed them last week.
