Trump goes out there night after night to support the GOP candidates all over the country. Who else is doing that? He then speaks for up to two hours at a time without a script. Can any one of us do that night after night without saying something once in a while that is controversial or something off the cuff that we later regret saying?

I remember during the 2016 campaign when every other day it seemed Trump said something outrageous that made him "unelectable". How many "This is the end of Trump" articles did we see during that campaign? Quite a few.

I remember especially how outraged many Freepers were when Trump went after McCain and said that he was no war hero. Yet over the long run, we came to see that McCain was indeed a very bitter and vindictive man who did far more harm to his country as a senator than good. Such as casting the deciding vote to keep Obamacare when we were so close to repealing it, just so he could stick it to Trump.

We don't need these poisonous career politicians around. I would take a hundred Trumps over them.

By the way, I was not including DeSantis in the above. I like the guy and would support him in 2028 for president (if Kari Lake doesn't beat him to it!). But 2024 is Trump's year. He deserves the second term he legitimately won in 2020.
