I wish someone would explain, how “democracy itself” is on the ballot.
They equate voting for Republican candidates as somehow destroying democracy. They equate voting for Democrats as saving democracy. Yet in our constitutional republic, we have choices about candidates and political parties to support. And we have the secret ballot, so we can make those choices without coercion, in private.
How can they be intellectually honest, and imply that you must vote Democrat, in order to “save democracy”? How can a free choice for another party somehow undermine our elections???
You can only save democracy but not having a choice. Isn’t it amazing how that works? Also they’re never accountable or at fault no matter how large their majorities (aka California). How’s that work?
