Isn't being "left alone" when they're being invaded by Russia.

If Ukrainians want to fight but aren't getting helped out with additionalilitary supplies, the only "negotiation" open to them is capitulation to Russia. You and others are okay with that, myself and some others are not.

It's an unbridgeable gap that will be decided by the new Congress.
