President Donald J. Trump came the closest he ever has to announcing a 2024 presidential run Thursday night at a chilly Sioux City, Iowa, rally.
Noting that he ran twice and won twice, Trump reassured supporters: “And now, in order to make our country successful and safe and glorious, I will very, very, very probably do it again, OK? Very, very, very probably.”
The enthusiastic crowd roared in response, breaking out into chants of “Trump! Trump! Trump!”
Bolstered by their cheers, the 45th president added, “Get ready. That’s all I’m telling you!”
The president’s remarks followed months of speculation about when he might announce a presidential bid.
Historically, candidates have waited until after the midterm elections to announce, and with Election Day just days away, it seems more likely that Trump will follow that tradition.
GETTR CEO and former Trump advisor Jason Miller recently suggested as much, stating: “It could be pretty soon after the midterms. My gut tells me it’s gonna be a little closer to the first of the year or maybe even just after the first of the year.”
For now, however, Trump’s focus appears to be on the midterm elections, as Thursday’s rally was just one of several the 45th president will be hosting in the days leading up to Election Day.
The next rally, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5, will be in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. Join RSBN for live coverage of that event here.
The war whores around here wont like that.
democrats panicking and furiously searching for something they can get him on. They’ve tried everything. Impeachment, wet-the-bed-whore, Russia collusion, bimbo accusations, raid by gestapo. What will they try next?
Trump will be 78 and Biden will be 81 in 2024. I think it’s time to let Gen X have a chance.
What you say seems logical for sure.
But the idea of Trump doing the hard plowing, planting the seeds, cultivating, watering (this movement) — only to have someone else get the harvest? I say if he’s up to it, DJT ought to see it through. I can’t help but think that his energy level borders on the supernatural; it puts most 50-year-olds to shame.
looking like the 14th?
If not Trump, then who?
First of all, somebody actually has to want to do the job in the first place. And you can see, it’s clearly a thankless job, based on the treatment that Trump has gotten.
Liz:”Poppa, did you hear that? Donald Trump is that close to say he WILL campaign for the nomination. What are we going to do now?”
Dick “If Trump is in the game, then so are you! Have your luggage packed and ready for if he declares intent after the Mid Terms. You’re going on a whirlwind tour of the talk shows to warn the nation. The media love you. You must protect my legacy and clear the field for Jeb!”
Trump is running. He will have a massive Red wave to surf on.
Also, the economy is just starting to tank from the continued Biden recession which gives him a MAJOR campaign issue.
The real question is, when does he formally announce?
My sentiments exactly.
Trump will be 78 and Biden will be 81 in 2024. I think it’s time to let Gen X have a chance.
There’s still boomers who aren’t 60 yet.
I read this as he’s not running.
No, this is not dramatic enough to provide vindication.
Take House and Senate. Impeach both BeijingBiden and the MochaVeep on election fraud. House speaker steps up to be new Pres. Appoints DJTrump as Veep. Pres steps down and DJT = Pres. He appoints deSantis as Veep. They tag team each other on annoying WEF and fixing the US.
US population “problem” solved as tens of millions of dullards that supposedly voted for Biden die of exploding heads. American survivors (ones who voted for DJTrump primarily) end economic problem by seizing assets of dead ex-citizens.
Dah, dah!
That should make Biden require stronger meds look for broken windows at the WH.
Democrats head to smoky back room for plans.
What are you even talking about?
