Actually Joe got everything wrong

FDR was in office March, 1933 - about 3.5 years after the 1929 Stock Market Crash

TV wasn’t starting to get wider use until the 1930s. The first really famous broadcast featured Adolph Hitler at the 1936 Olympics.

Joe, as usual, is just making stuff up as he goes.
