Earlier this year, CPAC decided to switch its payment processor to Revere Payments to avoid being “de-platformed or restricted by financial institutions taking political stances.”
Revere Payments is operated by Metrics Global. According to Metrics Global CEO Wendy Kinney, the payment processor believes in “the freedom to do business, not cancel culture.”
Kinney told Fox News that Revere Payments partners with clients “every day” to “eliminate their risk of being de-platformed or restricted” by politicized financial institutions.
In September, payment processor PayPal removed several “gender-critical” organizations claiming they were engaging in “hate speech.”
PayPal and its subsidiary Venmo announced last month that it had removed the accounts of at least two groups that regularly criticize the transgender movement, including Gays Against Groomers, the self-described “coalition of gays against the sexualization, indoctrination, and medicalization of children.”
PayPal also closed the accounts for the Free Speech Union and the Daily Sceptic, two websites run by conservative British editor Toby Young.
In response, Toby Young called PayPal’s actions “a new low in Big Tech’s war on free speech.
Gays Against Groomers coordinator Jaimee Mitchell, a Florida Republican operative who is gay, told Fox News host Tucker Carlson that the group would not be intimidated by PayPal’s actions and “we’re not going to stop.”
It’s a PRIVATE COMPANY so they can do as they please, even when instructed by government. You know, no different than Bayer delivering Zyklon Gas tablets to the SS to gas the Jews...nothing wrong with what Bayer did, they were just filling orders.
