Two U.S. officials confirmed to CBS News on Wednesday that senior Russian military officials discussed in mid-October how and when they might use nuclear weapons on the battlefield in Ukraine. The intelligence concerned U.S. officials because the relevant discussions came not long after Putin, seeing Ukrainian forces claw territory back from his troops, hinted that he could resort to nuclear weapons.
The discussions among Russian officials, first reported by the New York Times, were not detailed by the U.S. officials who confirmed the intelligence to CBS News.
In a statement shared with CBS News, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said he couldn't provide "any comment on the particulars of this reporting," but said the U.S. had been "clear from the outset that Russia's comments about the potential use of nuclear weapons are deeply concerning, and we take them seriously."

While Obama was weakening NATO the media kept praising him for his being pro-NATO, that bothered me greatly.
I was very pleased when Trump came in and started fighting to strengthen NATO by telling them to cut-off Russia for critical goods such as energy, and to increase their military spending, while Trump brought back America’s V Corps and moved it closer to Russia, to Poland, while also upgrading our nuclear forces, all while the media was telling you different.
Today, NATO has increaded spending by the billions, and is accepting 2 new countries and doubling its border with Russia.
What a complete waste of time.
Glad I could clarify things for you whether you will accept the facts, who knows.
The invasion of the main island was at hand. Troops were leaving Europe, not to come home, but to invade Japan. We would have made the cities of Europe look like child’s play. Look up the firebombibg of Tokyo. We would have done this to every city, every week for months. It would have made The Bomb seem humane.
