My younger brother, who is otherwise a decent enough guy, has accepted whatever CNN or MSNBC has put out about this incident. He believes that DePape was a MAGA person who wanted to do harm to Nanzi. He’s swallowed the entire Democrat narrative, whatever that is. I can’t bear anymore to look at those networks.
I tried to tell him about the fact the guy is a crazed leftist who loves BLM and Antifa, and my brother won’t hear a word about it. He’s made up his mind. Whatever those two networks tell him on the television are the facts. It’s sad to see, because as I said, he’s otherwise a nice guy and a good brother. You can’t choose your family!
Sigh. I understand completely. I have a brother and his wife who are all in on all things Leftist, part of the “Resist” organization, all that.
I am trying to find a way to keep a relationship with him as my brother. It isn’t easy for me, as you can guess.
That’s right. I have a friend whose mother is the same. The mother thinks that CNN or any news channel can’t say something if it isn’t true. The mother is a total air head. No critical thinking skills whatsoever.
