Well, we only have about a month to go before we find out how expensive, plentiful and reliable that energy is.
If Russia doesn't sell energy to Europe, they will to China and the BRICs, while if the US/EU plan fails Europeans will freeze in the dark, poor and unemployed.
But that's OK with you.
For Russia to start delivering significant amounts of oil to China would require building a massive infrastructure and new pipelines. it would take at least 15 years to put all that in place.
Russia is surely delivering to China right now, but it’s via very old ineffective systems. The export volumes to China are very low. It can’t compensate the volumes the West was buying.
Also, China is buying Russian oil for an extremely low price. The revenues for Russia are clearly going down.
Last thing, Russia and China don’t have the semi-conductors needed to sustain their entire industry. Only the USA, EU and Taiwan has that hi-tech.
If we prevent China and Russia from having that tech... those 2 countries are dead in less than a year.
So.. the commies in Russia and China can continue poking the west and plunder souverain nations like Ukraine,,, but lets see who has the last laugh...
Yeah, let's see if the US has the last laugh like we did at the close of WWII.
