In California, he has to be arraigned in front of a Judge within 48 hours. If it's a weekend, the arraignment must take place the next business day. The incident occurred early Friday morning...48 hours should be sometime on Monday. If this guy is in the hospital, I bet he will be arraigned in his hospital bed. Either they'll bring the Judge to the hospital, or they will do it over the internet. Either way, it will be done privately, without media coverage.
