The only thing anyone can do right now is not believe anything that is coming out now - it is all spin.
The key point to look for is what happens to “David”. Will he be charged with a serious crime or allowed to plead “guilty” for a minor crime and not face a trial (where evidence would be needed)?
My guess is that “David” will co-operate, plead out, no trail and then disappear.
Well he won’t hang himself.
