The police had identified both individuals by the time the report was written. If it had been either Pelosi or DePape it would have been written:
“The door was opened by an unknown individual that was later identified as Paul Pelosi.”
It raises the question of why the person who opened the door hasn’t been identified. They certainly didn’t let him go, did they? Unless he ran off his name should be in the report.
They have the bully horn to tell the public how horrific we are... we who do good. that gets the dirty left off the hook.

Along with the third person, Pelosi went to the bathroom to make a call? What attacker allows their victim to go to the bathroom with his cellphone?
Likely a dispute over drugs or payment and police show up. Attacker knows he will get the shaft (so to speak) and freaks out.
Didn’t the police report state the cops arrived at the residence to see Depape and Pelosi both fighting over the hammer, and after that Dupape pummeled him with it? What exactly were the cops doing at that point? Did they not draw their weapons and order everyone to freeze? This story is just friggin’ weird and full of holes.
Who reported that Depape said ‘Where’s Nancy’ and really if he did what was meant by it?
Someone can ask a question and it does not necessarily mean they are looking to get her with a hammer.

That is really how the guy got in. maybe the third party was a housekeeper of some kind who is used to Pauls activities and wasn’t paying attention to the antics in the “rear” foyer. Paul Pelosi was entertaining two male prostitutes, due to heavy drinking he was so out of it he wasn’t responding to phone calls, etc. Someone called the police to do a welfare check. One of the prostitutes opened the door. The other one saw the cops, which angered him, so he went after Paul with the hammer. This is what I think happened, convince me otherwise.
One picture I saw of the house shows dual cameras on the corner under the eaves. I guess they weren’t functioning that night.

The NBC story lied and said the guy was right-wing.

2. He was in the Green Party, a nudist, a child molester. So he’s a typical Democrat.
While your story is more intriguing, once the perp started hammering Pelosi, situation was critical to secure the perp and get medical assistance. After that, Pelosi went to surgery. Too many holes in details without updates.
Nor were the police body cams?
That's quick a trick for someone who was supposedly wresting with the nudist over a hammer and getting whacked with it as the cops stood by and watched.
Absolutely amazing that Chuck doesn't ask who the unknown person is. How did this guy get into the house without the security system going off? Are we supposed to believe that Paul Pelosi forgot to set the burglar alarm?
The intruder supposedly brought along a hammer and ropes But forgot his clothes. Did he have shoes on? Did he walk or drive to the house? 'd like to see the security tapes from neighbors of an almost naked man with a rope and a approaching the Pelosi residence.
