I’ve met Mr Weintraub several years ago, obviously under not such good circumstances. He and his team are excellent and thorough, they were compassionate and straight talking. I, and those involved those years ago, have nothing but respect for this DA and his team. We were happy to hear he got re-elected. After reading the article, I believe Mr Weintraub came to the correct conclusion.
Shame it has to be that way… you figure you’re all there to have a couple drinks, have a good night out, unwind from work… and it just turns to crap for something stupid.

Of course it doesn’t matter what color the shooter happens to be given the facts. The shooting appears to be entirely justified.
I’ve been to that restaurant. Pretty dark parking lot. All the other storefronts are closed well before the restaurant.
I just wonder if there was some interaction where the attackers felt disrespected. No excuse but it seems pretty violent for a spontaneous wilding.

Understood. I had a buddy who attended Archbishop Wood — a pretty decent catholic school. He got the shi- kicked out of him because a few toughs were sitting on his car at the end of the day and he asked them to “move”. Same area. So you never know.
