Tesla makes electric cars, a very small market. GM makes every kind of car. A very large market. They aren’t even in competition, really.
Personally, I’d give us one chance in three. More popcorn anyone? [with apologies to Capt. Marko Ramius]
Hey GM, get woke, go broke!
...GM had the chance to OWN the electric-car market in the 90s with their EV-1 and be decades ahead of their competition. Their customers loved it so much they were chaining themselves to their cars. Their response? Shut down the line, crush the cars and run as fast as they can away from the first real automotive innovation in 100 years. LOSERS!
They already did that.
Then the jug-eared Kenyan stole GM from the preferred stock holders, bailed it out, and gave it to the union thugs.
Same here. I had GM vehicles from 82 until the bailout. I have bought two Hondas since then. Interestingly, the Hondas are still going strong with nothing but scheduled maintenance. I can't say that about my GM vehicles.
Maine has a Senator like that.
The “G” is silent.
Small but very fast growing market. And EV's make up a far bigger market share in China which is the world's biggest auto market. In Norway, EV's account for over 70% of all auto sales.
And the first Tesla semi gets delivered December 1 to Pepsi, so Tesla is now selling more than just cars.
GM makes every kind of car. A very large market. They aren't even in competition, really.
GM's total sales have been falling rapidly over the last 3 years at leas, even as Tesla's sales continued to rise strongly. And GM is making valiant attempts to compete in the EV business where Tesla commanded a massive close to 70% of the US EV market last year.
GM's total sales have been heading down even as Tesla's sales and profits have continued to rise strongly despite pandemics and supply chain problems and what not..
I don't see GM really going anywhere in the next 5 to 10 years time frame.
THAT IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF “FREEDOM OF SPEECH.”
It is also an example of the WORST KIND OF BUSINESS STUPIDITY.
Go ahead stupid business, pull your ads and watch the masses send you OUT OF BUSINESS.
But you will have made your point. LOOK AT ME, I’M STUPID AND HERE’S MY SIGN.
Now they don’t want to advertise on twitter. Oh, well.
