Don’t hold it against his handlers. Oz was already within striking distance, and NOT debating has its own political price. It certainly hasn’t helped Katie Hobbs. The Fetterman team took a chance that he would be coherent by the debate, or could just repeat talking points. It didn’t work. The problem is an extremely unqualified candidate.
Agreed. It was a rock and a hard place decision. In retrospect the wrong choice was made not to try to just hit it out, but I think a reasonable advisor could have gone the other way. Anyone who told Hobbs to hold the line is guilty of malpractice, however. I think her stonewalling has and is going to cost her dearly
