It’s astonishing.
It’s like some early version of the Strong Delusion has already begun.
In many ways. Genesis chapter 19 is a huge clue.
To Democrats, oil is a poison. They will be glad when the SPR is gone.
The Biden-puppeteers make no secret of their desire to end the use of fossil fuels.
The Biden son/grift-vacuum transparently partners with and serves China.
So tbey want to use up the SPR so that we’ll be forced to transition to much, much more expensive energy sources, and use much less energy in total. This will add pressure to find alternative energy solutions. If no one makes major scientific discoveries, oh well, a lower standard of living is fine for the little people.
Meanwhile, the US will lack the energy supplies for a sustained war against its Pacific adversary.
From the perspective of Biden Inc., it’s a twofer.
Biden must have been paid to do just that, destroy our Reserves by the Chinese and Russians.,,,,We will be defenseless.
Last sentences of the article (in the notes):
“According to the Wall Street Journal, the price of crude could go as high as $120 per BBL.12 At that price, refilling the Reserve would cost a whopping $47 billion.”
Maybe “The Big Guy” has worked a secret side deal with the Saudis for a small kickback on high price per barrel purchases when it comes time to refill the SPR. At $120 per BBL, purchase of 300-450 million BBL with a $0.25 kickback per BBL is $75 to $113 million.
Excellent article. I just read it, and was going to start a thread, but you got to it first.
Thanks-I can see I am not the only one who felt that reading this could make me better informed on a subject that has always been somewhat nebulous to me.
I knew it was stored in caverns, and how much was there, and that the Oil Embargo sparked its creation, but that is it.
Thanks for posting it.
