I think Cringe Jean-Pierre usually refers to it as ‘the previous administration’.

Meanwhile, jive turkeys are prospering in Washington, D.C.

I’ll have to check at the stores we go to. Not too concerned either way, as we can take or leave turkey. In fact, in over 20 years I don’t think we’ve cooked a turkey except on Thanksgiving.

I’m getting stronger, too — I can carry $100 worth of groceries into the house in one trip.

I can remember my parents’ outrage at being able to carry $10 worth of groceries in just two bags. Of course this was in the 50s.

We’re not that crazy about roast turkey, either. But if we’re spending the money anyway and it’s free, we can break it up, stew it and vacuum pack the meat for salads, casseroles; and make stock from the carcass for soup.

I just bought a 25 lb bird today for $1.79/lb. Probably a Tom. I overheard someone say they paid $4.50/lb for a turkey, but I didn’t get the details - was it fresh or frozen or where she got it. I sure hope it doesn’t go that high.

We shop at Safeway, now that we found out that in order to get $.50 a gal discount on fuel, we not only need to spend $500 on food, but we can only get the discount on 25 gallons. So that would be a savings of $12.50 on fuel, if you both buy 25 gallons and spend 5 Bills per month at the overpriced grocery store.

It is NOT worth it. We were filling up the RV and that saved us $50, or park both cars on opposite sides of the same pump and fill up both cars.... No longer can we do this..

It’s just my wife and me. This will be our turkey from Costco.

I’ll make candied sweet potatoes, open a can of cranberry sauce, Stove Top bread dressing, a packet of gravy, and Hawaiian and rolls a pumpkin pie from Costco.

Sweet potatoes will take about 40 minutes. Everything else; about 15 minutes total. Added bonus is that cleanup and washing dishes will take about 10 minutes.
