I served on a slightly newer aircraft carrier(CVN 68) The commanding officers(CO and XO) were top notch. I went through a couple of them while on board. Yes...it kind of runs the gamut, doesn’t it? You just have to go with the flow, because you can’t control it. Funny. We had a division officer we just worshiped, the guy was a real leader and we just followed him like ducks...:)

I spent about a month (I think) on the Eisenhower (CVN 69) when she was pretty new.
