A forthcoming book by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) reveals that he and some of his Republican colleagues hid in a supply closet shortly after hearing news of violence on Jan. 6, 2021.
“While we waited for the Capitol to be secured, I assembled our coalition in a back room (really, a supply closet with stacked chairs) to discuss what we should do next,” Cruz writes in “Justice Corrupted: How the Left Weaponized Our Legal System,” according to Newsweek.
Cruz says “several” Republicans argued during that meeting that the party should suspend objections and vote to certify the 2020 election.
“I understood the sentiment. But I vehemently disagreed with it,” he writes in his book that will be published on Tuesday.
“I urged my colleagues that the course of action we were advocating was the right and principled one,” he writes.
The 2016 presidential candidate ultimately joined five other Republican senators in voting against the certification of the 2020 election result in Arizona and six others against the certification of the Pennsylvania result.
Sens. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), Roger Marshall (R-Kansas), John Kennedy (R-La.), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) and Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) voted against certification of Arizona alongside Cruz, while Cruz, Tuberville, Marshall, Hyde-Smith and Hawley were joined by Rick Scott (R-Fla.) and Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) in their votes against certification of Pennsylvania.

That was exactly the intent of the left when they xent security ru Ning outdoors to throw open the barriers and usher people into the building. The ,eft didn’t want anyone protesting the vote or arguing that the vote should not be certified, which Cruz znd another fella were In The process of doing when the left ordered security to allow the protestors in in hopes of disrupting the proceedings st as rated by Cruz. The feckless rinos that wanted to abandon the effort to desertify were doing the bidding of the left and should be ashamed 0f themselves.
It's easy to see that in hindsight. But the info they had inside might have been that WW3 was going on. Especially if security answered to Pelosi.

I didn't watch all of it so I don't know if he said anything about his cameo appearance in the Babylon Bee video about the Californians going door-to-door in Texas asking people to vote for Beto.
I was in the crowd. Had Cruz or anyone else stepped out, the crowd would have stopped and tried to listen.
Maybe not the Antifa fags at the front door, but the patriots right near them would have shut them down.
