I don’t understand how Drag Queen story hour at public libraries was allowed in the first place.
Did pressure groups organize to force these events to happen, and threaten lawsuits if drag queens were banned? Did the authorities who run libraries want to bend over backwards to prove that they aren’t discriminating against draq or gays or other alternative lifestyles???
My personal opinion is that drag queens should be considered as “adult” events, on the same level as pornography or places such as strip joints. Legally speaking, apparently, drag is not considered to be an adults only activity.
The article says, "Drag Queen Story Hour began with voluntary programs at public libraries, which are required by law to provide equal access to organizations regardless of political affiliation or ideology."
“I don’t understand how Drag Queen story hour at public libraries was allowed in the first place.”
The reason is parents didn’t show up in mass protesting at the city council or board of county commissioners for the locality responsible for the public library. Until pushed back, the left continues to push the boundaries of the culture.
Parents in Virginia have shown the way by speaking out at school board meetings. Show up at the meetings of local government officials in mass and speak out against the destruction of the culture.
What is there to be proud of if you are LGBTQ? Why is there there a trend to try to convince others of it’s “value”?
