That’s because Fox News is part of the fraud machine

Newt is always given to aggrandizement. Things are going really well. But “toss up” means that the GOP still will lose some of them. And gerrymandering has created less competitive districts. So the chances of a wave like we had even 30 years ago aren’t as likely. We should be cautiously optimistic.

I know we all hate Fox News now, but if they are predicting something along the lines of R+25 seats in the House, then they are actually fairly realistic and not low.

Even one person in the "Weer gunna git uh hunderd moar seatz" crowd ought to show his homework and tell us exactly which 100 seats will be flipping. If they would DO any homework, they'd see +100 (or even +50) is a complete impossibility unless 75% of Democrat voters die from their COVID booster shots prior to election day.

If Republicans win EVERY close House election (yeah, that's realistic) then we're looking at maybe +30. If we SPLIT the close elections (a difficult enough task, given Democrat vote fraud) then it's more like +15. If the "Red Wave" crashes on the rocks and dies, then maybe we get a number just big enough to rip the gavel from Pelosi's claw and take nominal control of the House. "Nominal" == there's still enough RINOs to keep Democrats secure and comfortable.

I think you might be right to a certain extent. I dont think they are throwing in the towel but they already have the blame R’s set up in advance. Biden has already started in one speech he said if you want to crash the economy, vote Republican. Must be nice to have media covering for you

It would guarantee that students could be tutored by their school without telling their parents.

Well that is the America that I remember from my youth. If a kid needed tutoring, he just went and saw the teacher for help. I never remember the parents needing to be notified, although the teacher might inform the teacher. I suppose the problem is with all of the wokeness and using a tutoring as a cover for pushing the homosexual agenda. That is really a different issue though.

Northwest Indiana, but that would be a surprise too.

In the previous century there was a Dem Indiana rep in the US House who publicly denounced FDR's court packing shenanigans. He noted that was on the same moral plane as ballot box stuffing and jury rigging.

That is good news in your area. I expect my area to go blue as usual in most races, so the Congressional race is a curiosity. The Democrat incumbent is a machine politician and is not popular among some reform Democrats. This area went to Biden by over 60% in 2020, but there is a huge oil refinery here, which provides a lot of jobs and revenue, and maybe some people are concerned about Biden’s green policies. The Republican is a black female pro-life conservative veteran. She is the first quality candidate we have had here for a while, so there might be a lot of enthusiasm for her campaign. She will probably run very strong in Republican areas to the South and maybe pick up black votes from Gary and Hammond. It should be interesting.

Newt was swept to power on a 54 seat swing in 1994.

And he’s alluding to this one being bigger.

I would not be surprised.

Even the die hard Dim base is nearly ashamed.

Independents have already broken HARD for the GOP.

Every Republican is a “broken glass Republican”.

Even MSM polls show a wipe out.

“the GOP candidate sends some nice campaign literature to my mailbox”

That may not be such a good thing. In 2020, the USPS was a huge factor when it came to fraud and many conservatives’ mail was messed with. When the home’s occupants consistently received pro-GOP mail they were targets.

We’ve pretty much stopped using the home delivery/pickup part of USPS.

Good point. Some of it is addressed to Resident, and some of it has my name, maybe from my primary voting record? I know the mailman, though; a good guy. One good thing about the literature and the TV ads is there is some money behind the nominee and the Republicans see the race as winnable. Before, the Democrat just walked away with it.
