That’s nothing...we have one guy on death row that has been there since 1986. He raped, murdered and cut the vagina out of a 7 year old girl. The girl was the daughter of his girlfriend. After she broke up with him, he kidnapped her daughter and raped/murdered her. He was arrested shortly after the crime which occurred on July 7, 1984. He has been in custody since. His conviction was overturned twice for judicial error. He has been on death row for 36 years. In that time, the State has paid for a hip replacement, and saved his life from bladder cancer, as well as several other major illnesses. And he is still appealing his case. It’s been 38 years since little Layla was murdered and we are still dealing with her killer. Should have let him die from the cancer.
