To some extent, the U.S has driven Russia into China’s embrace. It could have been different. If the U.S had immediately shifted to dealing with China when the Soviet Union became defunct, the Russians may have been co opted to assist the U.S with China. Instead , cold war warriors just couldnt accept there weren’t tank battles with the reds
The US could not go after China and could not make them the bad guy because China owns too much of them. Russia does not. and that makes them the perfect bad guy needed to blame deliberate America destroying policy and foreign interventionist shenanigans on for the LWO they intend to install.
There has to be a bad guy and Russia is it.
