Well, sure. There shouldn’t be any impeachment for political purposes. The two impeachments the Democrats perpetrated against Trump were travesties of justice; the framers of the Constitution never intended impeachment to be used as a weapon against a political opponent. But McCarthy’s assumption that any impeachment proceedings that the Republicans bring if they win back the House in November would be politically motivated in the same way is unfounded. What if Biden, or Mayorkas, or Garland actually violated the law? What if they abused their power in persecuting “MAGA Republicans,” purveyors of alleged “disinformation,” and Jan. 6 “insurrectionists”? Could we get any impeachments then?

I don’t want Biden impeached. He is such a total disaster that he needs to stay in office four years and think he has a chance at running for re-election.

If the Republicans take Congress and don’t use impeachment against the Democrats, that guarantees that the Democrats will use it against the next Republican President. McCarthy is an utter moron.

I really don’t understand this. Impeachment/removal is a process that requires the Senate to convict. Why on earth would you go through a process that you know 100% that would not lead to a conviction/removal? These admin rats could rape a person on live television and the soulless Democrat party would never convict the person. There is no point in impeaching in the current environment. The Democrats used the impeachments as a weapon and they failed to get a conviction. What would be the point of impeaching these lawless individuals unless you could complete the “speedy” trial in a week or so? I don’t see how you can put a label on a Republican that he is “stupid” because he doesn’t want to go through a useless process.
