BC (before covid) I traveled a lot for business and always used Hertz. The had the most generous rewards program that I used for all my personal travel. The “Gold Choice” and “Presidential Circle” aisle options were great.
No more alas. Now the company prefers National. I’ve had 4 rentals, 3 for 1 week and 1 for 3 weeks and still need 3 more rentals before I get a single free day.
They may have a “generous” rewards program but their prices in many places is so much higher than even in-airport (vs bus to some far off location) competition it makes no sense to rent from them.
