and no appeal process...
Political prisoner. It wasn’t a duly constituted congressional inquiry committee. Minority leader McArthy should have testified to that.
I think this is just contempt to court for refusing to testify.
The are just laying out the precedent to do the same for Trump if he refuses to testify in a subpoena. They want Trump in jail.

Bannon left the courtroom and was live on air 15 minute later.
Bannon has shown the world the kangaroo court that is the DC circuit, and he has done so with class and far more decorum than anything I have seen from any of the ‘honorable members’ of the J6 unselect committee.
Bannon’s work over the past two years will be evident on 6 November 2022. The dank walls of a federal prison cell will not diminish the triumph that Bannon will have helped to usher in.
Oh, and if they hate Bannon’s Warroom now, what until their abuse of this man lifts him to near martyr status among those who are absolutely disgusted with what they see in DC and all of the scumbags that occupy that cesspool of a city who purport to do their disgusting deeds in our name.
Keep you chin up Bannon, you are, and have been, the patriot we all need!

Correct, and the judge would not allow Bannon’s defense to explain to the jury the reason that he would not appear before the committee. The Executive Privilege that Trump invoked was not Bannon’s to waive.
So the only information the jury had, or were allowed to have, was that Bannon failed to appear or provide documents.
Bannon respected Trump’s wishes and THAT is why he received the sentence he did today. It is no more complicated than that.
Don’t worry, the sentence will be delayed pending a lengthy appeal process - and after the midterms, the entire Biden administration will be knocked off balance .
This illegitimate administration’s DOJ has already exposed itself as being the most blatantly politicized DOJ in US history, and a red wave will show that the American people are aware of what’s going on.
The Democrats will continue to do damage as they get more desperate, but they will be hurting themselves as much as anything else.
We just have to hold on a bit longer - I think help is on the way.

A few of us pondered why DJT didn’t intervene before he left office, abandoning those who were arrested on FF Day Jan6, 2021. He was granting pardons and clemency right up to January 21, 2021. Bannon was on the list but nothing for the jailed Patriots. No one knows who the good guys are any in these arrests, so let the process sort it out, so sayeth “savior” Trump, leaving the Coup d’etat to play out, too.
The real message is there is no redress of Grievances and no Constitutional protections in the Kangaroo Courts of America any more. So fugetaboutit.
