Not sure what Um means but I'm sad to hear that, I believe 1965 would have been the year of death. (I wonder what he thought of The Beatles).

Anyway, Winston was a great man even though his efforts were not always appreciated by his countrymen. I read his massive six volume series on the Second World War and it is a highly recommended account of the war from the perspective of one who played a key role in world events.

In the years leading up to WW2, Churchill was out of power and as loathed by the "elite" as Donald Trump is in our country today. But when his country needed him most, Winston was there to pull England's chestnuts out of the fire at a time when things were at their bleakest.

We may be nearing that point again.

God bless Winston Churchill, but I think America was what pulled England’s chestnuts out of the fire.
