The Democrats have had a completely legal national majority for at least two decades. They can win the White House without voter fraud, and they can get small majorities in both houses of Congress - if they get all their legal voters to the polls.

Never mind.

I see where you're coming from.

You're wrong about this, by the way.

The Democrats and Republicans are both at about 40 percent of the vote.

It's the Republican-conservative coalition that enables Republican control of many governorships and legislatures.

The Democrat vote-rigging ensures the constant struggle over the US Senate and its crucial role in the appointment of federal judges.

Re: "The Democrats and Republicans are both at about 40 percent of the vote."

Congressional Republicans benefit from two factors.

First, two Senators per state, regardless of population.

Second, in the House, Democrats are highly concentrated in a limited number of Congressional Districts.

In a good year, the GOP always has some chance to win a small majority in the House and/or Senate.

Nationally, in Presidential elections, the Republicans still have some chance since most of the Democrat popular vote majority comes from California and New York.

However, currently, the Electoral College is the only thing that keeps us competitive for the White House.
