Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Wednesday that he has signed a law introducing martial law in four Ukrainian regions the Kremlin has sought to annex, in violation of international law.

The regions — Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk — are not under full Russian control. Western nations have decried the annexations and vowed not to recognize them as Russian territory.

Putin made the comments during a scheduled Security Council meeting.

“In this regard, let me remind you that in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Luhansk People’s Republic, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, martial law was in effect before joining Russia,” Putin said during a televised address. “Now we need to formalize this regime within the framework of Russian legislation.”

“Therefore, I signed a decree on the introduction of martial law in these four subjects of the Russian Federation, so it will be immediately sent to the Federation Council,” Putin added.

Lunhansk and Donetsk had martial law before this announcement. Now it is continuing under the law of Russia which they joined.

No surprise about the others considering they are in a state of war

Well, they’ve pretty much been under martial law since at least March. So, this recent declaration is rather redundant.

Martial law means that the man with the gun makes the rules. So that’s not changing.

I think there is a war going on here, so I imagine both sides will act like it.

It’s being reported that much of the decree also applied to Russia.

Word is in spite of media reports Ukraine is on its last legs due to manpower shortages\causalities. Russia has been sending in their 2 stringers to grind down the Ukrainian forces as Putin has withheld about 300,000 of his top line forces sitting in reserve. The Media has been spoon feeding the Public a line about all this while the US funnels in billions into that black hole.

“Not anymore unless it fits an agenda, eh?”

With media — from whichever side — it’s always about the agenda.

So you’re laughing at that comment? It was told by msm a bit further back that less than about 10% of the Russian army was involved with this conflict. I would think that a country with that large a land mass wouldn’t commit a ton of troops on that corrupt country. Bomb the crap out of it and get it over with I say. It’ll end the stream of cash being funneled into Ukraine from our country. I shouldn’t have to pay for some crap country that is corrupt as hell! But hey you’re probably employed by the MIC or part of the corrupt cabal in the US or Ukraine.
Friend or foe with regards to Ukraine or Russia, I don’t care, until my country increases the deficit to ultimately line the pockets of corrupt people.
