Only a society with a death wish mutilates its young people. If there were 200 mastectomies in 2017, 300 in 2018, and nearly 500 in 2019, I shudder to think how many there were in the following years. When the authors write, 'For context, the researchers noted that approximately 300,000 adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17 identify as transgender in the U.S. today.' I think the mean that many more girls should be "treated".

It is indeed Orwellian speak. And just to think back in the ‘60s and ‘70s the trendy set was into “natural” everything. They liked natural childbirth, natural foods, natural breasts (free of bras), natural food growing, and natural pleasures like hiking in the woods.

Now we should be the ones to adopt Jean Jacques Rousseau and club them for these unnatural surgeries and hormone therapies. There was always a lot in Rousseau that matched conservative and freedom-loving philosophy. He led a robust life himself and liked healthy lifestyles. We should attack the teen abusers as being anti-Rousseau, anti-natural living, and anti-robust health.
