Yes this is a recent finding and a very small tribe (maybe 0.03% of Taiwan’s population) of aboriginals in Taiwan know this ceremony.

But the photo of the ceremony taking place in China makes little sense. Unless it was some sort of show as part of a Japanese-Chinese cultural exchange.
