Defending Russian soil. If you haven’t heard, the Donbass ( ethnic Russian territory) is now part of Mother Russia.When the Ukies stated shelling the Donbass back in 2015, the area was always forefront in Russian news . Three movies were made about it, of course the Western MSM never reported it.
Do keep in mind, Vlad calling 300,000 prior servicemen was met with an additional 70,000 Ivans answering the call ( of course western MSM media never reported that). Point, Russia is not collapsing, their resolve is still very strong. Many young Russians are able and willing to follow their President.
Then why now? Not 100 years ago when the lines were drawn after ww1? The whole situation stinks and, yes, the agreements in 2014, should have been honored. But Russia’s military invasion is BS. The people of Donbas etc were not protesting to leave Ukraine and join Russia. Just as the Ossetians of Georgia. Putin smelled Biden’s chomo weakness and invaded for ego. His troops’ morale is dog feces. Like I said, regardless of the Zalensky the Ukrainian military and people can at least rally around defending their territory. Russia can not.
