It is to laugh!
The REASON it’s the highest in 40 years is BECAUSE he caused the inflation that forced the increase.
I’d rather have no inflation even if no COLA is added to my check, like most of us would.
And BTW, if the fedgov calculated the ACTUAL inflation numbers, the COLA would be like Carter’s last year (1980).
