With an AN/SPY-1D phased array radar system, PAUL HAMILTON incorporates significant advances in the detection capabilities of the AEGIS Weapon System, particularly in its resistance to enemy Electronic Counter Measure (ECM).
Using SPY-1D and the ship's Mark 99 Fire Control System, PAUL HAMILTON can guide its vertically launched Standard Missiles to intercept hostile aircraft and missiles at extended ranges.
To provide point defense against hostile air targets, PAUL HAMILTON is equipped with the Block 1 upgrade to the Phalanx Close In Weapons System (CIWS).
Not extraterrestrial unless aliens are using quadcopters with sd cards. Since they captured one the origin should be easy to identify.
Do those navy leaders know they are a warship anti aircraft weaponry? Copy f they are too pussified to shoot down a drone, they get what they deserve.
Our navy fights back with acronyms and whiny complaints. And of course it’s aliens lol.
They have since been identified as released from a Chinese cargo vessel. I think there is an article about this on The War Zone.
Skeet shooting
Shoot it down? If it’s alien and it has its shield up then it won’t matter, if it’s cheap Chinese crap it should fly apart nicely.
Unless he has orders to do so.
Anyone in fleet command that issues such orders should be replaced.
Mine do too.;-)
Absolutely. Particularly a ship with advance technology on board.
Yes shoot it down but they don’t need to use anything sophisticated. A decent goose gun should do, say a Mossberg 935 in 10 ga.
Nah. SPITBALLS! - The weapon of choice for Brandon’s woke navy
There are official cameras all over an aircraft carrier and every swinging Richard on the tub has a cell phone but no pics or video?
Why do you assume there are no pics or videos? Do you think the captain of a ship with lots of classified Aegis technology is going to say re: pics and videos, “share ‘em if you got ‘em.”
Small drones have limited range. The Navy has to know where they came from and returned to.
Shoot them down! Whoever is doing this will get tired of losing them.
So then why are we being strung alaong?
The Pentagon is not in the business of sharing information with the public.
