The lead for a Republican candidate has nearly doubled since last week on the generic congressional ballot, according to Rasmussen Reports’ weekly poll released Friday.
Friday’s poll showed the generic Republican candidate is up seven points, with 48 percent of the likely U.S. voters to the generic Democrat candidate’s 41 percent, a three-point improvement for the GOP since last week.

At this point it’s District x District.
Generic is pretty meaningless except for gaining media eyeballs without much effort.
Yup- but its still fun to see. The lead keeps expanding with gas prices and inflation.
But what about abortion? Those Republican Nazis are going to ban abortion and take away all the fun in life!
If the Republicans ever held 90% of both houses, the White House and the preponderance of all State offices I would expect them, rather than start rolling back Democrat works, to soon be sending out fund raising letters proclaiming how tenuous their majority is.
The public has finally realized that the democrats are the party of fascism and economic ruin.
More likely the polls are coming back to reality so that they can claim that they were accurate.
Dems have a big big big problem. The try to obfuscate with Trump and abortion while American families lost $6000 last year. Hardest hit are the ones who usually vote Democrat.
If the Republicans don’t sweep Congress next month, we (as a nation, a culture, freedom-loving people) are doomed.
I guess you must have missed 1994 and 2010. 7 points is blowout territory.
The fraud network now is *much* more advanced than it was in those election years. Rasmussen could report a 10 point advantage for the GOP, and it wouldn't surprise me to see the DEMs keep the House this November.
Doomed to dependency.
Mitch and Kevin are suicidal.........all the WEF pressure will fall on them to somehow thwart the will of the angry unclean masses.
Right. Dimms have to be up big in this poll because so much of their votes are concentrated in big cities. This poll is a disaster for them.
But eff polls. Go out and vote!
No there is a point at which people make a point to show up and vote for or against a party.
I think that’s happening throughout the country.
Red tsunami probably.
As long as I live I’ll never when Republicans begged for the majority and a lot of patriots worked hard to win the Majority in the House. And what did Republicans do? They gave us Paul Ryan.
Then they pleaded to give them the Majority in the Senate. Again, a lot of patriots got out and won the day. And what did Republicans do? Gave us Mitch McConnell and bellyache about having a slim majority and being unable to do anything.
We had majorities when Trump was in office and Republicans fought Trump at every step. Couldn’t/wouldn’t even give $25 billion to build the wall. Fought it tooth and nail. Now we give Ukraine $25 billion every month, or more if Zelenskyy talks about nuclear war.
No, the Republicans are useless. I’ll vote but I am certain Republicans will stab Conservative in the back over and over... again.
Trump's helping to week out RINO's... We take the house and Senate - then in two years we put Trump back in the White House - trust me - things will change...
Trump's helping to weed out RINO's... We take the house and Senate - then in two years we put Trump back in the White House - trust me - things will change...
Maybe that's true.
Personally, I wouldn't put any credence in these polls. Until the election is actually OVER, the votes counted and certified that the Democrats got their asses handed to them and they've lost Congress by historic margins, I wouldn't believe a damn' word of any pollster.
Agreed. I fully expect a Mitch lead Senate to provide nothing bit bipartisan “wins” for Biden. I can do without the Repukes taking the Senate. The one saving grace to that would be that all credit would go to Trump and he’d have a great shot of getting his rightful spot back.
