Others may know more about this than I, but I would suspect the president, Biden may be an exception, would not nominate someone to be an ambassor to a country whose leadership dislikes that individual.

I was just wondering because Pelosi has said some pretty dreadful remarks about Giorgia Maloni.
Given Pelosi remarks about Giorgia Maloni, Biden would be stupid to select her to be ambassador to Italy.
I agree completely but could not help but laugh at that statement. (sad state of affairs)
