Interesting side effect: in my blue state, I hear far less bitching about gas and food prices, because I believe those people who voted for this know, somewhere in that primitive part of their reptilian Leftist brains, that they are responsible for it, and shouldn’t draw attention to the obvious by whining about it.
You do hear whining from ignorant or brainless (often both) people who DID vote for this, but don’t have two brain cells to make contact with each other and establish the connection.
If they did, they would consciously be shamed into silence, for the same reasons the dedicated Leftists (who unconsciously KNOW they are responsible) stay silent.
The “dedicated Leftists” don’t want the neon billboard above their heads with a downward pointing arrow blinking on and off saying “IDIOT DOUCHEBAG! IDIOT DOUCHEBAG! IDIOT DOUCHEBAG!”
Of course, they lie, obfuscate, try to change history, all of that
But deep inside, those “dedicated Leftists” know the truth, and have to attempt to change the perception of reality in their own brains (and those of others) so they can avoid the destructive cognitive dissonance that would normally result.
They often succeed in brainwashing themselves to a degree, but they can never fully remove that disparity between THEIR reality and the true reality, so like a bullet ricocheting around the inside of a tank, that cognitive dissonance (that the disparity causes) destroys the glue that holds sanity together in their heads, and they get closer and closer to a mass insanity.
Lastly, even they understand the maxim “Better to stay silent and have people think you are an ignorant, American-hating jackass, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
In observing this maxim, they manage to conceal their destructive stupidity from the ignorant and stupid liberal “useful idiots” by doing that, and thus, they manage to live and fight their corrosive anti-American battles on other days.

To our benefit, their silence speaks more loudly than words.
We’ll never sway these morons, our only hope is that a very small fraction of people who voted for Brandon, say 2-3% of them, realize their mistakes and vote the opposite way.
But then we have another problem, the GOP majority in Congress will only accomplish one thing, and that is that the Dems no longer have the majority. Other than that, they will do nothing.
My parents are in the “ignorant or brainless” liberal category. Now that my father is gone my mother has to file taxes now. She complains endlessly about how high gasoline prices are and why she has to pay for so many taxes. Meanwhile she is writing checks to donate to every democrat and every democrat front group in the state.
By the way she gets her political information from daytime talk shows including “The View.” Needless to say I don’t visit often.
