How much is this gonna cost in today's dollars. Probably we will never know this.

There was a good senator from the State of Illinois that use to say a billion for this program and a billion for this other program and pretty soon we got real billions of dollars on wasted projects.

“Acid rain results when sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOX) are emitted into the atmosphere and transported by wind and air currents. The SO2 and NOX react with water, oxygen and other chemicals to form sulfuric and nitric acids. These then mix with water and other materials before falling to the ground.”

What’s their plan for this side effect? It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

Compared to anything we can come up with, volcanoes and geysers are more abundant in SO2.
