i wonder if the hypothetical “climate change” hypothetically caused by these hypothetical organisms is what caused Mars’ core to solidify, thus causing the entire planet to freeze and to lose whatever magnetosphere it may have had, thus causing the surface of Mars to be bombarded by every ray known to mankind ...
or MAYBE Mars was so small it lacked enough gravity to hold on to its atmosphere as well as being too small to maintain a molten core that would keep the planet heated ...

My theory is the martian microbial life was gay and the microbes never reproduced and they became extinct. Climate change had nothing to do with it.

Climate change logic: No evidence of life existing on Mars has been found. Therefore the life for which there is no evidence it ever existed, might have (meaning must have) killed itself off through its own climate change, of such severity it erased all evidence of its existence.
Normal people logic: Mars lost its magnetic field and most of its atmosphere 4 billion years ago. If life ever existed on Mars the reduction in atmosphere and increased solar radiation on its surface would have killed off Martian life more than natural or life created climate change.
I like normal logic better, however climate logic does get lots of grants and keeps people employed producing research like this.
