Viktor Orban believes Donald Trump is the only person who can end the war in Ukraine.
The Hungarian Prime Minister doesn't believe peace talks should be conducted between Ukraine and Russia, but between Vladimir Putin's regime and the US, with the former president leading the negotiations, rather than current American commander-in-chief Joe Biden.
Speaking at a panel event in Berlin, Orban said: “The Ukrainians have endless resources because they get all that from the Americans
“That’s why the Americans have to come to an agreement with the Russians. And then the war will be over. Anyone who thinks that this war will be concluded through Russian-Ukrainian negotiations is not living in this world.”
The politician argued Biden has gone "too far" by saying Putin should not remain in power and branding the Russian leader a war criminal.
He added: “That would make it very hard for [Biden] to make peace. This is going to sound brutal, but hope for peace goes by the name of Donald Trump.”

This right here is why I’d be nervous after mid-terms if I were Zelensky. Everyone knows Trump had no wars during his 4 years, Trump will campaign on that and it will be effective, especially if the Russia/Ukraine war is still going. Dems may may be encouraged to end this in 2023, figuring most voters will forget by 2024, like they have on Afghanistan now.
Absolutely true. President Trump has been quite clear that he wants Russian corruption and influence kicked out of Europe. His policies back that up, too.

Yep. Let’s for a moment assume that Orban is correct here. Let’s assume that only Trump can bring this war to a close. There is not one chance in a million that Biden’s handlers will allow that.
Better to let the killing continue and risk nuclear war than to give Trump the opportunity to be seen in a good light.
There's definitely a connection between ThugState trying to depose a President and smear Trump as a Russian agent - and the fact war with Russia breaks out within 1 year after he's gone.
This is about ending that war and Trump wants it ended.

If anyone can convince Russia that they need to leave Ukrainian territory it’s Donald Trump.
But I’m not in favor of any peace agreement that leaves Russia in control of land, resources and people obtained through aggression.
Me? Trump stood in Poland and said what he wanted American energy in Europe. Told the Germans to their faces more than once what mistakes they were making with fascist Russia. Read his speeches. It’s all there.
