There’s a funny scene in the movie “Prefontaine” in which the (Oregon track coach) Bill Bowerman character talks about his new business partner, Phil Knight. “A former walk-on of mine with average speed.”
To be fair, I recall Phil Knight being an above average runner. He was average only in Bill Bowerman’s Oregon.
