The Lincoln Project, which consisted of never Trumpers who opposed Trump in 2020, was widely supported by much of the media. However, the Lincoln Project's reputation has fallen so low due to financial and sex scandals that even Politico is now portraying its leaders as a bunch of greedy grifters in its review of a Showtime documentary about that organization.
Of course, it would have been nice if Politico had been as candid about the Lincoln Project back in 2020 instead of waiting until after that election was safely in the rear-view mirror.
You get a sense of this new attitude in the title of the Joanna Weiss article on Sunday, "A New Documentary Gives Us a Glimpse Into the Lincoln Project’s Hypocrisy."

Politico and the rest of the media knew back in 2020 that the Lincoln Project leaders were a bunch of greedy grifters but they needed them to help “fortify” election. Now that the election is past they can pretend to be suddenly concerned about the Lincoln Project.
Hmmmmm, wonder if the Clintoons are silent partners in this group. They’re amongst the greediest grifters of all.
Only time Politico has gotten something right.
So, who is seedier and more corrupt? The Lincoln Project degenerates, or the corrupt MSM who were eager to throw money and airtime at them as long as they were willing to say hateful things about Trump and Republicans?
One is a prostitute. The other is the willing john.

This is a response to an old thread—I held my nose and watched the last episode—since it had all the juicy scandal stuff.
The Showtime show was at least half shameless Trump bashing leftist propaganda.
The funniest scene was when the Lincoln Quisling staff sat totally entranced by the inaugural speech of Joe Biden.
They were deeply moved as well.
It just does not get more pathetic than that.
I cannot believe any human being on the planet is that stupid.
