The Biden administration blames everything on Trump. Things they view as a problem, like a secure border and now gig workers.

They want to end self-employment/self-sufficiency.

Everyone must be beholden to government for their daily bread.

Depending on the work you may be best off forming a micro-company with one employee.

I will look into that. I have two people I have talked to who are recommending an LLC.

Like a sub-contractor?

This is the first I've ever heard the term "gig" worker. Is that a legal term for tax purposes?

Are the illegals hanging out in Home Depot parking lots trilling for jobs "gig" workers?

OH! WAIT! That's what this is all about. It's all about how their going to deal with, AKA tax the wages etc. of the flood of illegals soon to be hired at below poverty wages.

Hence 87,000 new armed IRS agents coming down on employers.

They want to eliminate independent contractors and business owners that can choose where and when they want to work, and how much money the want to make.

That is the intermediate goal. The end goal is to get them into unions to extract union dues.

As long as they be paying taxes and getting overtime, and paying union dues.

The cartels aren’t going to like this.
