True and actual numbers will not be fully known, if at all, till varying independent groups can gain access to such information for all sides involved.
However, while numbers can be skewed, media reports can offer a rough glimpse/approximation of those numbers, especially those coming from wounded soldiers interviewed, ground officer accounts, etc.
